Purim customs are different from other holidays. It is customary to: Exchange reciprocal gifts of food and drink – "mishloachmanot". Donate charity to the poor - "mattanot la-evyonim". Eat a celebratory meal - "Se'udat Purim"'. Recite the Scroll of Esther - "Kriat Ha-megillah". Be merry, drink wine, wear masks and costumes and party all night and day.
